Job summary

Protyre Autocare in Bath is seeking a commercially minded Centre Manager to drive sales and lead the depot's daily operations. You will manage a team, coach staff and ensure service levels meet the company standards.

This role requires proven automotive experience, strong leadership, and a track record in delivering sales targets while maintaining compliance and stock controls. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have proven centre/assistant centre management in automotive.
• Sales-driven with track record of conversion.
• Technical or mechanical knowledge of automotive systems.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and health & safety.
• Strong understanding of car technology.
• Experience in account management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the team, driving sales and providing training as needed.
• Maximise customer conversion by ensuring the team uses telephone techniques and callbacks.
• Lead the operation and daily running of the depot.
• Maintain the security of the branch, stock, assets, customer information and takings.
• Maintain accurate stock control systems and prepare for audits.
• Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained and serviced for safe operation.
• Ensure stock deliveries are stored and booked on the day of delivery.

TheCentre Managerwill be responsible for delivering the company business objectives through effective management and co-ordination of the Centre.

Must have:

• Full Clean UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application)

About the role:

• Managing and motivating the team, driving the teams’ sales and providing training to the team when necessary
• Maximise the customer conversion rate by ensuring all team members utilise the company telephone technique and call-back procedures
• Leading the operation and daily running of the depot
• Maintain the security of the branch, its stock, assets, customer information, and takings.
• Maintain accurate stock control systems and processes and make available for audit in accordance with company guidelines.
• Ensure that equipment and machinery is maintained and serviced routinely to allow safe operation.
• Ensure stock deliveries are stored and booked into stock on the day of delivery.

About you:

• The ideal candidate will have proven success as a Centre Manager or Assistant Centre Manager within the Automotive industry.
• Demonstrable success within a sales environment
• Technical or Mechanical experience / Automotive knowledge
• Experience of managing multiple prioritiesWorking knowledge of relevant Health & Safety requirements
• A good understanding of car technology
• Experience of account management
• A full UK Driving Licence
