Job summary

Halfords is seeking an Autocentre Manager at our Oban site to lead a team, deliver an exceptional customer journey, and drive performance in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

You’ll be responsible for coaching staff, ensuring safety standards, and achieving sales KPIs while delivering a high-quality customer experience. The role offers a clear progression path, comprehensive benefits, and an uncapped bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Candidates must showcase strong leadership and team management in automotive or similar settings.
• Demonstrate proven ability to deliver high customer satisfaction and effective management.
• Coaching-based approach to team development with in-the-moment training.
• Experience meeting Health & Safety compliance standards.
• Proven track record of managing KPI performance and sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with in-house IT systems and basic software.
• Strong time-management skills and reliability.
• A current valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Autocentre team to ensure excellent customer journeys and satisfaction.

• On-target earnings up to £51,666
• Comprising a base salary of £39,766
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £11,900 per year.

Skills and experience

• Fantastic leadership and team management skills within the automotive or similar industry
• Experience delivering high customer satisfaction and displaying effective management.
• Engaging and motivational, coaching-based approach to team development and able to provide in the moment training.
• Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety
• Experienced with high sales turnover and managing KPI’s
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and written.
• IT Proficient, with the willingness to learn in-house systems.
• Good time management
• A current valid driving licence
