Job summary

Oxford Innovation is hiring a Centre Manager for Culham Innovation Centre, at Culham Campus. You will lead centre operations, drive sales and service excellence, and help the community of ambitious SMEs thrive.

We welcome part-time applicants (minimum 22.5 hours per week). The role offers a salary up to £42,000–£45,000 per year (pro-rata for part-time), flexible benefits, and a supportive, inclusive team.

Responsibilities

• Act as centre figurehead locally, regionally and nationally, promoting the product and enhancing reputation.
• Oversee financial and commercial performance; deliver sales, marketing, and operations to attract and retain occupiers.
• Foster collaboration between Oxford Innovation Space and Culham Campus, identifying joint opportunities.
• Deliver world-class service in facilities, support and community connections; train and develop centre staff.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Act as a figurehead for the centre locally, regionally and nationally, creating success, selling and marketing the product offering whilst enhancing its reputation for excellence.
• Overall management control and accountability for the financial and commercial performance of the centre, and to deliver all aspects of sales, marketing, and operational activities for the centre to attract new customers and ensuring the retention of existing occupiers.
• Cultivate the working partnership between OI Space and Culham Campus, identifying and developing opportunities for collaboration and joint initiatives
• Deliver a world class service to the centre community in facilities, support and collaborative connections and the training and development of centre staff.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about innovation, people, and making things happen. You’ll bring:

• Proven leadership experience in a customer-focused or service-led environment.
• A commercial mindset with experience in sales, marketing, and budget management.
• Proven experience working with, supporting, or developing networks across science, technology, or innovation led sectors, particularly fusion energy, advanced engineering, robotics, AI, deep-tech and life sciences.
• A passion for creating great experiences and building community.
