Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is seeking a Semi-Static Multi-Skilled Engineer to manage a small portfolio of Central London commercial buildings. The role covers both mechanical and electrical maintenance across Zones 1–2, with travel paid.

You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, in a small team including a Maintenance Manager and three Fabric Engineers. The position requires a practical all‑round M&E background, fault finding capability, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Commercial building maintenance experience
• Multi-skilled M&E background
• Electrical or mechanical bias
• Good fault finding ability
• Knowledge of AHUs, FCUs and general HVAC plant
• Comfortable with basic electrical and plumbing repairs
• Proactive approach to investigating problems
• Reliable and team-oriented in a small team

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive M&E issues across the buildings
• Initial fault finding and diagnostics before escalating
• Carry out minor mechanical and electrical repairs
• Maintenance and fault finding on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and valves
• General HVAC and plant maintenance
• Basic electrical fault finding
• Lighting and general electrical repairs
• Minor plumbing including leaks, taps and blockages
• General plant room checks
• Identifying faults and arranging further works
• Escorting subcontractors for reactive works and PPMs
• Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and site team
