Job summary

Boden Group is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a static site in Farringdon, London. The role covers electrical and mechanical building services with a bias toward electrical work, plus general fabric maintenance.

It is client-facing with emphasis on fault finding and proactive maintenance. The successful candidate will work Monday–Friday on a permanent basis, ensuring safe, compliant operation and accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition qualification.
• Strong knowledge of building services engineering and fault finding.
• Ability to work independently while contributing within a maintenance team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Electrical bias preferred; other multi-skilled backgrounds considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services.
• Fault-find, test and repair electrical equipment and complete small electrical installations.
• Carry out general building fabric maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect building services and respond to faults and repair needs.
• Update PPM tasks and maintain maintenance records.
• Support setup of offices, event spaces and other areas as required.
• Follow site health, safety and environmental procedures.

A Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer is required in Farringdon, London to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across a static commercial site. The role covers electrical and mechanical building services alongside general fabric maintenance, with an electrical bias preferred.

This is a client-facing position involving fault finding, small electrical installations, PPM and general building maintenance, so strong communication and a proactive approach are important.

The Role

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services.
• Fault-find, test and repair electrical equipment and complete small electrical installations.
• Carry out general building fabric maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect building services and respond proactively to faults and repair requirements.
• Update completed PPM tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Support the setup of offices, event spaces and other areas when required.
• Follow site quality, health, safety and environmental procedures.

About You

• City & Guilds or NVQ in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition qualification.
• Strong knowledge of building services engineering and a logical approach to fault finding.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a maintenance team.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• An electrical bias is preferred, although other multi-skilled backgrounds will be considered.
• IPAF, PASMA, BMS knowledge or HVAC experience would be advantageous.
