Central Cost Analyst

Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid – 50% Office / 50% Remote)

Salary: Attractive annual salary + bonus and benefits

Are you a finance professional focused on facilitating cost efficiencies and supporting key business functions? We’re seeking a Central Cost Analyst to join Haven’s motivated team. Supporting a cost base of approximately £100m, you’ll collaborate with our Head Office team, ensuring financial insights are key to decision-making. If you’re ready to bring your insightful knowledge to a role with high visibility and effect, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll do:
  1. Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide them with sound financial advice and support so that they can make more informed decisions.
  2. Produce high-quality monthly reporting, commentary, and analysis.
  3. Diligently analyse costs, identify savings opportunities, and support investment decisions.
  4. Collaborate with the Finance Business Partnering team to accurately report performance.
  5. Manage balance sheet accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
  6. Provide training and guidance to non-financial stakeholders to enhance cost ownership.
  7. Support planning processes with robust data collection and analysis.
  8. Partner with executive and department heads to optimise budget management.
What we’d like you to bring:
  1. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  2. Experience in Business Partnering / Supporting Stakeholders with financial decision making.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of current accounting standards and financial regulations.
  4. Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and advanced Excel.
  5. Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-accountants.
  6. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  7. A collaborative approach with stakeholder engagement skills.
  8. Attention to detail, with the ability to deliver on schedule.
  9. An innovative mindset, constantly looking for opportunities to improve processes.
