Job summary

Brett is seeking a capable Shift Supervisor for its cementitious products terminal in Sheerness. You will lead a small team, supervise unloading ships and loading activities, and ensure safe, efficient operation of all terminal processes.

You will develop maintenance plans, coordinate with the Operations Manager and Senior Supervisor, and drive effective handovers between shifts to keep the site running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Daily mechanical inspections of site and equipment.
• Health and Safety training and awareness.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Planning and organising.
• Strong Interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of plant equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to run the plant smoothly and minimise downtime.
• Maintain health and safety standards for all staff.
• Supervise ship handling, storage, and distribution.
• Arrange maintenance and sourcing parts as needed.
• Oversee vessel unloaders, weighbridges, silos, and loaders.
• Coordinate handovers between shifts.
