Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a highly organised Production Coordinator for Ketton Cement Works. You will coordinate fuels, raw materials and resources to maintain production while supporting safety, quality and efficiency objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in cement manufacturing at supervisory or management level.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems such as SAP, Intelex, Entropy.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Lean Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fuel and raw material procurement, stock control and supplier management.
• Monitor production requirements to ensure continuity of plant operations.
• Manage operational waste storage, disposal activities and budgets.
• Forecast and report budget requirements for purchased materials.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop systems to improve material handling, reduce waste and lower costs.
• Manage monthly and annual operational reporting and data submissions.
• Lead and support compliance with environmental, safety and operational management systems.
• Maintain safety records, risk assessments, audits, incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Act as key Operations contact during IMS audits and support traffic management compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and contribute to sustainability targets.
