Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 3 Higher Biomedical Support Worker for the Cellular Pathology team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role is based at Bedford Hospital with some shifts at Luton & Dunstable, supporting histology processing and special techniques.

You will work under the guidance of senior staff to maintain UKAS accreditation and ensure high-quality patient care through accurate results and compliant laboratory practices.

Qualificações

• Solid general histology background with hands-on experience in immunohistochemistry.
• Experience with histology automation and adherence to quality management systems.
• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist (or eligibility) is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in day-to-day operations and technical aspects of the service.
• Support the Specialist BMS and Senior BMS in delivering high-quality, efficient service.
• Implement policies to ensure compliance with UKAS standards and regulatory bodies.
• Aid in training and development of scientific and support staff.
