Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Permanent STE5 Surveyor to join the CEFA team in Northeast England or Yorkshire. The role is 37.5 hours per week with hybrid working.

You will deliver condition surveys and property inspections as part of the national inspection team, supporting Network Rail contracts since 2009. The successful candidate has extensive inspection experience, STE5 qualification, and are or become a member of RICS or CIOB.

Qualifications

• Extensive prior inspection experience.
• STE5 qualification or equivalent.
• Member of RICS or CIOB or working towards membership.
• Knowledge of structural mechanics and construction types.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspection duties as directed to agreed timescales.
• Deliver work to budget and specification.
• Adhere to safety and key processes.
• Undertake inspections of buildings and structures.
• Assess condition accurately; describe defects and repairs.
• Produce high-quality reports from inspections.
• Mentor new staff on projects.
• Input survey data accurately to meet KPIs.
• Escalate incomplete inspections to OPI Manager.
• Report significant defects through the Amey system.
