Amey Ltd is hiring a Permanent Assistant Surveyor to support the CEFA team in the Northeast of England or Yorkshire. The role is hybrid, 37.5 hours per week, and focuses on delivering condition surveys and property inspections to Network Rail standards.
You will develop into a fully competent Surveyor, progressing to surveys alone as you gain training, with opportunities for career growth, funded apprenticeships, and professional memberships as you advance.

In this role, you will play an important part in assisting the operational property inspection team to successfully deliver condition surveys and other professional property inspection services
This role offers you the unique opportunity to able to develop and become a fully competent Surveyor. Once trained, you will be working alone completing surveys to Network Rail standards identifying defects and remedial works for Network Rail to complete as part of their planned maintenance.
Undertaking measured condition surveys of buildings and structures to Network Rail's property portfolio of stations, depots and signal boxes. Survey data input using bespoke surveying software that is currently being redeveloped to enhance the capabilities and user experience.
