Job summary
The Health and Safety Partnership Limited is seeking a CDM Principal Designer to join a North West multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering engineering and manufacturing projects. You will ensure health, safety and CDM requirements are integrated through design and pre-construction stages, working with designers, engineers and project teams.
The role focuses on identifying and managing risk, coordinating design meetings, site visits, and providing CDM guidance to clients.
Qualifications
- Significant experience with machinery or production lines in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Previous demonstrable experience working as a CDM Principal Designer.
- Experience with BAE Systems would be advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Review project information and construction drawings to identify design, construction and maintenance risks.
- Provide clear CDM advice to clients, including guidance on duties, policies and procedures.
- Attend and coordinate design and project meetings.
- Undertake site visits as required.
- Prepare and share relevant health and safety information with project teams.
- Review Construction Phase Plans.
- Oversee the preparation of Pre-Construction Information.
