Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a CDM / Principal Designer to join a London-based consultancy with a strong presence across commercial, industrial and retail sectors. You will lead several multi-million-pound schemes, delivering high-level health and safety and principal designer services, while coordinating with architects and contractors in a Central London setting.

The role emphasizes CDM 2015 compliance, Building Safety Act guidance, and professional membership.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate preferred.
• Solid knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations.
• Member of IOSH, APS, IIRSM, or similar body.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CDM 2015 services for multiple schemes.
• Act as Principal Designer across projects.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure RAMS are in place.
• Oversee and manage design risk registers.
• Prepare construction phase plans.
• Provide clients with detailed health & safety guidance.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, developers, and designers.
• Identify opportunities to improve compliance.
• Deliver Building Safety Act advice and support.

Our client is a well-established medium-sized consultancy with a strong presence across the commercial sector, while also delivering projects within the industrial and retail spaces. They are looking to add an ambitious and well-rounded professional to the team ideally someone from a consultancy background with experience working alongside blue-chip clients.

The role is based in Central London, with around 80% of projects located across Zones 1 & 2. You'll be leading several multi-million-pound schemes, delivering exceptional health & safety and Principal Designer services across a varied portfolio.
