Job summary

Project Four Building Safety Experts Limited, trading as P4, is seeking a Building Safety Consultant to take day‑to‑day ownership of a North West CDM portfolio. You will advise clients on CDM 2015 duties, support the Principal Designer, and help shape safe design decisions across varied projects.

You will work from Liverpool with hybrid site and client office days, leading design risk discussions and producing concise, client‑facing outputs.

Qualifications

• Around 3–6 years' experience in a CDM advisory, Principal Designer support or CDM adviser role.
• Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 and UK construction health and safety framework.
• Ability to read, interpret and challenge drawings and design risk information.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on CDM 2015 duties and assess dutyholder appointments.
• Support or act on behalf of the Principal Designer in preconstruction planning and monitoring.
• Review and hand over Construction Phase Plans and Health and Safety File; produce clear reports.
• Carry out site visits, identify non-conformances and track corrective actions.
• Lead client relationships, deliver CDM training, and mentor junior consultants.
