Job summary

CDD Automation Solutions is seeking an Electrician to install, commission, maintain and fault-find industrial automation systems across multiple manufacturing clients.

You will assemble panel enclosures, read schematics, and support commissioning while traveling to sites as needed. The role requires experience with drives, PLCs and control gear, plus a willingness to lead small teams and travel within the UK and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mild and stainless steel control panel enclosures.
• Carry out electrical inspections, testing and fault-finding.
• Support installation and commissioning of industrial control systems.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and installation documentation.
• Work with engineers and customers to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Maintain records and reports, escalate safety concerns when needed.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
• Panel wiring up to 415VAC including 3‑phase wiring.

CDD Automation Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrician to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of industrial automation and control systems across a range of manufacturing and process industry clients. The role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and will involve working on control panels, PLC-controlled equipment, motor control centres, instrumentation and automation systems.

The Role

• Assembly of mild and stainless steel control panel enclosures

• Carry out electrical inspections, testing and fault-finding, identifying and resolving issues safely and efficiently.

• Support the installation and commissioning of industrial control systems, machinery and associated equipment.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings and installation documentation.

• Work with engineers, project teams and customers to complete work to agreed schedules and quality standards.

• Complete accurate records, test documentation and reports, escalating technical or safety concerns where required.

• Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work at all times.

• Travel to customer sites as required and maintain a professional approach when representing the business.

• Panel Wiring up to 415VAC including 3-phase, Flexibar wiring and photo-to-point panel wiring from the schematics.

About You

• Electrical technical qualifications NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Maintenance or a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

• Experience in Panel Building and site modifications

• Desire to lead small teams

• Familiarity with drives, PLCs, and control gear

• Valid Driving License and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally
