Job summary
CDD Automation Solutions in Peterborough is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical designs for industrial automation and control systems. You will contribute to projects from concept and detailed design through to installation, testing and commissioning, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients.
You will produce schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts, support component selection, and ensure compliance with UK standards and project quality
Qualifications
- Experience in electrical design within industrial automation, control systems or similar.
- Ability to interpret technical specs and electrical drawings to develop designs.
- Familiarity with UK electrical standards and safe working practices.
Responsibilities
- Produce electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
- Develop documentation aligned with project specs and standards.
- Support component selection and field device specification.
- Collaborate with software, controls and installation teams to coordinate designs.
- Assist with FAT, site installation and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality processes.
