Job summary

CDD Automation Solutions seeks a skilled Electrician to support installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of industrial automation and control systems across client sites. The role focuses on control panels, PLCs, drives and 3-phase wiring, with opportunities to lead small teams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mild and stainless steel control panel enclosures.
• Carry out electrical inspections, testing and fault-finding.
• Support installation and commissioning of industrial control systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and installation docs.
• Collaborate with engineers, project teams and customers to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate test records and reports, escalating safety concerns.
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe systems of work at all times.
• Travel to customer sites as required and represent the business professionally.

CDD Automation Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrician to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of industrial automation and control systems across a range of manufacturing and process industry clients. The role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and will involve working on control panels, PLC-controlled equipment, motor control centres, instrumentation and automation systems.

The Role

• Assembly of mild and stainless steel control panel enclosures

• Carry out electrical inspections, testing and fault-finding, identifying and resolving issues safely and efficiently.

• Support the installation and commissioning of industrial control systems, machinery and associated equipment.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings and installation documentation.

• Work with engineers, project teams and customers to complete work to agreed schedules and quality standards.

• Complete accurate records, test documentation and reports, escalating technical or safety concerns where required.

• Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work at all times.

• Travel to customer sites as required and maintain a professional approach when representing the business.

• Panel Wiring up to 415VAC including 3-phase, Flexibar wiring and photo-to-point panel wiring from the schematics.

About You

• Electrical technical qualifications NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Maintenance or a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

• Experience in Panel Building and site modifications

• Desire to lead small teams

• Familiarity with drives, PLCs, and control gear

• Valid Driving License and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally
