Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a CCTV Systems Manager to lead the design, assurance and delivery of CCTV solutions across customer and infrastructure environments. Based in Raynesway, Derby, you will oversee surveys, design reviews, and handover to operations, while guiding a small team and ensuring safety, compliance and lifecycle effectiveness.

About the role

Location: Raynesway, Derby

We're looking for a CCTV Systems Manager to lead the design, assurance and delivery of CCTV solutions across a range of customer and infrastructure environments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CCTV professional to combine technical expertise with leadership responsibility, ensuring CCTV systems are safe, compliant, practical and fit for purpose throughout their lifecycle.

You'll work closely with customers, project teams, suppliers and operational colleagues while leading a small team and driving continuous improvement across design and delivery activities.

What you'll be doing

• Leading CCTV projects from survey and design through to commissioning, handover and operational support.
• Producing and reviewing CCTV designs, layouts and technical documentation.
• Ensuring designs meet customer requirements, industry standards and operational needs.
• Providing technical assurance and guidance on installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Managing system performance, lifecycle planning, upgrades and obsolescence risks.
• Leading, developing and supporting a small technical team.
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Supporting bids, estimates and technical proposals.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, quality and efficiency.

Who we're looking for

• Experience designing, managing or technically reviewing CCTV systems.
• industry-recognised qualifications CCTV System Design
• Strong knowledge of CCTV design principles, including camera placement, recording, monitoring, connectivity and power requirements.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Experience managing technical risks, design changes and quality assurance activities.
• Knowledge of commissioning, testing and system handover processes.
• Strong planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant qualification in CCTV, Security Systems, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous leadership experience or the ability to lead and develop a small team.

Desirable

• Experience within construction, infrastructure, facilities management or site services environments.
• Knowledge of CCTV standards, data protection requirements and industry best practice.
• Experience supporting bids, supplier management or service improvement initiatives.
