Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a CCTV Operator on a 6-month fixed term contract based in Manchester with a site in Kent. You will monitor CCTV and security systems, respond to incidents and produce accurate reports.

The ideal candidate holds an SIA CCTV Licence, demonstrates strong English communication, attention to detail, and excellent report writing. The role runs 42 hours per week on a 2 days/2 nights/4 days off shift, at £14.32 per hour.

• Competent using a range of operational and security systems
• Knowledge of TimeGate (training can be provided)

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms and electronic security platforms, responding to incidents promptly and appropriately
• Produce and distribute accurate incident reports in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, site activities, and security operations
• Liaise with police, emergency services, contractors, visitors and authorised personnel as required
• Manage controlled access through video management platforms
• Monitor and escalate incidents through established reporting channels
• Answer and log helpdesk calls and provide operational support
• Support customer requests and ensure service standards and deadlines are met
• Monitor and escalate Dataminr incidents and produce associated reports
• Foster excellent working relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Assist in maintaining a safe working environment and integrity of the Control Room
• Undertake additional duties in line with business needs
