Job summary

Securitas UK in Leeds is seeking a CCTV Controller to monitor surveillance systems, respond to incidents, and ensure safety protocols are followed. This permanent role offers 12-hour shifts (days and nights) on a 4-on 4-off pattern, with on-site responsibilities and a focus on proactive security management.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid SIA CCTV licence, have a security or contact-centre background, and be capable of communicating clearly under pressure.

• Strong communication and decision-making under pressure.
• Willingness to obtain SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Detection Systems.
• Report equipment faults and security incidents accurately and promptly.
• Oversee security personnel performance and appearance.
• Ensure compliance with company and client protocols.
• Support management with continuous improvement and best practices.
• Participate in tech trials and promote user adoption.

CCTV Controller – Leeds

£15.49 per hour | 12-Hour Shifts | 4 on 4 off | Days & Nights

Permanent Role with Securitas

As a CCTV Controller you will be the central point of security operations — monitoring surveillance systems, identifying and escalating incidents, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. From real-time decision-making to using advanced technology, this role is all about staying alert, calm under pressure, and responsive

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Monitoring CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Detection Systems
• Reporting equipment faults and security incidents accurately and promptly
• Overseeing security personnel performance and appearance
• Ensuring compliance with company and client protocols
• Supporting management with continuous improvement and best practices
• Participating in tech trials and promoting user adoption

What You’ll Bring:

• IT skills the use of Office 365 i.e Excel. word
• A background in security, contact centre work, or customer-facing roles
• Tech-savviness and a genuine interest in learning new systems
• Clear communication skills – written and verbal
• A professional, approachable attitude with strong attention to detail
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to excellent service

Bonus Skills

• Valid SIA CCTV Licence
• Previous experience in a control room environment
• Familiarity with security systems and site layouts
• Confidence using software and digital reporting too
• 2 years experience

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid SIA and CCTV Licence (essential)
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and act decisively when necessary
• Must be a British national by birth or have held a British passport for a minimum of 5 years
• Must have a 5-year checkable work history
• Must be willing and able to obtain SC clearance
