Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a professional CCTV Operator to join our security team at a corporate campus in Sunbury. You will monitor CCTV systems from a control room, support incident management, and ensure safety and compliance across site areas.

The role requires a valid SIA DS and CCTV Licence, with experience in surveillance environments. An emphasis is placed on accurate reporting, data protection, and strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA DS and CCTV Licence.
• Proven experience operating CCTV systems within a control room or security operations centre.
• Strong observation and analytical skills with the ability to monitor multiple camera feeds effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and incident logging.
• Experience handling and preserving evidence while maintaining a clear chain of custody.
• Knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection legislation and CCTV best practice.
• Ability to follow site procedures, SOPs and security protocols with minimal supervision.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV, PTZ and ANPR systems to identify threats and safety concerns.
• Maintain constant situational awareness across multiple buildings and areas.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and security concerns and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate and support on-site security officers via radio communications.
• Produce accurate incident reports, control room logs and evidential records.
• Extract and securely preserve CCTV footage in line with GDPR and procedures.
• Conduct routine system checks and report faults promptly.
• Ensure only authorised personnel access control room and CCTV systems.
