Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a proactive Leading Officer to supervise the security control room and team at Sunbury-on-Thames. You will monitor CCTV and access control, patrol the site, respond to incidents, and maintain high standards of safety and service.

The role is permanent, 42 hours per week (4 on, 4 off) with day and night shifts. A valid SIA licence and CCTV licence are essential, along with security operations experience.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding, Door Supervision or equivalent as required for the role).
• Valid CCTV Licence.
• Experience in security operations or control room.
• Experience operating CCTV and access control systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Remains calm and makes effective decisions during incidents.
• Good observational skills and reporting of risks.
• Reliable, professional and committed to safety and service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the security control room and team resources.
• Monitor and operate CCTV, access control, and reception security systems.
• Conduct regular security patrols and inspections across the site.
• Control site access and prevent unauthorised entry.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Investigate and report security breaches and defects.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate incidents to management and emergency services.
• Provide a professional, courteous, customer-focused service at all times.
