Job summary

Trafford NHS Talking Therapies Service is seeking a qualified CBT Therapist (Band 7) to join a supportive team delivering high-quality CBT across community settings. The role involves both face-to-face and remote appointments, with daytime and one weekly evening requirement, and opportunities for supervision, CPD and progression.

The post includes working within a stepped-care model, with engagement in service development and outcome monitoring, plus enhanced pay for evenings and weekends and

Qualifications

• Qualification from High Intensity IAPT/Talking Therapies Course (Post Graduate Diploma)/ Accredited CBT course
• Experience working as a CBT therapist and demonstrating the competences as required
• Further training such as EMDR, IPT, CFT, etc.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, deliver and evaluate evidence-based CBT interventions for a broad range of complex mental health problems
• Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment, formulation and treatment in line with service protocols
• Contribute to achievement of service KPIs and performance targets using routine outcome measures
• Provide high-quality clinical supervision to colleagues delivering psychological interventions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with governance and guidelines
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and external partners for integrated care planning
• Participate in service development and quality-improvement activities as requested
