Qualifications

• Entry requirements for postgraduate diploma.
• Experience in a mental health setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively complex, clinical information to clients and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients for suitability for psychological interventions within the stepped care model.
• Make decisions on suitability of new referrals and direct or signpost accordingly.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for clients.
• Develop communication skills to work with people and understand sensitive difficulties.
• Begin to exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment and treatment of clients.
• Meet the requirements of the Diploma course with the planned number of client contacts and sessions per week.
• Complete data collection requirements within the service and university.
