A leading mental health service provider in Chelmsford is looking for a skilled CBT Therapist to join their clinical team. The role involves delivering structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to clients with various psychological issues, such as anxiety and depression. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development. The ideal candidate will have a recognized qualification in CBT, strong clinical assessment skills, and experience in delivering effective interventions. We are seeking a skilled and empathetic CBT Therapist to join our clients clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to clients presenting with a range of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering both one-to-one and group sessions and contributing to the ongoing development of our therapeutic programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and formulate appropriate CBT treatment plans.
Deliver structured, evidence-based CBT interventions to clients, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to best practice guidelines.
Manage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records.
Collaborate with other mental health professionals and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and coordinated care.
Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary.
Provide psychoeducation and practical coping strategies to clients to promote self-management and recovery.
Maintain professional and ethical standards in line with BACP/BABCP guidelines.
Participate in regular clinical supervision, team meetings, and CPD activities.
Contribute to service development, including the creation of resources and therapeutic materials.
Recognized qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Full membership and accreditation (or working towards accreditation) with BACP/BABCP.
Demonstrable experience in delivering structured CBT interventions in a clinical setting.
Excellent clinical assessment and case formulation skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate clinical records and preparing reports.
Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management protocols.
Experience working with specific client groups (e.g., children and young people, trauma, addiction).
Training in additional therapeutic modalities (e.g., ACT, DBT, EMDR).
Experience in delivering group therapy or workshops.
Digital therapy delivery experience (e.g., video/online therapy platforms).
