Job Description

We are hiring for a Chef Manager at Tollgate Primary School, Plaistow. The role focuses on providing nutritionally balanced and tasty food for future generations. It is a term-time only position with no weekends, offering great flexibility.

The Role

• £19.00 per hour
• 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – 39 weeks per year

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to Caterlink and client standards
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation
• Enhancing the company's reputation through excellent food and service, exceeding client and customer expectations
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
• Acting as the main contact for the client at your school, recommending and implementing improvements
• Regular communication with line managers to monitor KPIs and financial targets
• Supporting, training, and leading teams to excel, ensuring all training is completed and performance is managed
