Job Description

We are hiring a Chef Manager at St Mark's Primary School, Mitcham, who is committed to providing nutritionally balanced and tasty food for our future generations. This role is term-time only, with no weekends, making it ideal for those seeking flexibility.

The role includes:

  1. £13.00 per hour
  2. 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  3. Term-time only, approximately 195 days per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
  2. Ensuring the location complies with statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures
  3. Enhancing the company's reputation for excellent food and service with clients and customers, consistently exceeding expectations
  4. Managing the day-to-day operations of the location and supervising teams, including inventory management, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
  5. Serving as the main point of contact for the client at your school, recommending and implementing improvements
  6. Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets, ensuring achievement
  7. Supporting and training team members, leading by example to ensure role excellence, completing all training, and managing performance
