Job Description

We are hiring a Chef Manager at an East London Primary School who wants to ensure that future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term-time only with no weekends, making it ideal for those seeking flexibility.

The role includes:

• £16.00 per hour
• 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (hours between 7:30 am and 2:30 pm)
• Term-time only - 192 days

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client, serving approximately 390 meals per day
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures
• Enhancing the company's reputation for excellent food and service with clients and customers, exceeding expectations consistently
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
• Serving as the main point of contact for the client in your school, recommending and implementing improvements
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets to ensure achievement
• Supporting and training team members, leading by example to ensure everyone can excel, completing all required training, and managing performance
