Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef at Joseph Chamberlain College in Birmingham to prepare nutritionally balanced, tasty meals for pupils and staff. The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (40 weeks).

You will cook to Caterlink and client standards, ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance, manage inventories, and assist with budgeting and action plans under your line manager’s guidance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Professional Cookery preferred but proven experience in a thriving contract catering kitchen is essential.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• To ensure Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all paperwork is completed accurately.
• To support the location’s reputation for excellent food and service and exceed client expectations.
• To assist line manager with day-to-day running, inventories, budgets and action plans.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Chef at Joseph Chamberlain College,Birmingham. who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food.

The role:

• 37.5hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term Time Only working Weeks 40Weeks

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
