Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef at Yavneh College, Borehamwood, to provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meals. The role is term-time only, with a 38-week year and 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will prepare, cook and present food to the required standards, follow Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures, and support site operations including stock, budgets and action plans.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge and adherence to health and safety policies.
• Ability to work to high culinary standards.
• Attention to portion control and waste minimisation.

• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans

For over 20 years, the Company has delivered fresh food solutions to pupils and staff at Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Colleges across the UK. The company caters more than 1,000,000 meals a week. We are hiring for a Chef at Yavneh College, Borehamwood who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £21.00 per hour
• 37.5hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 38weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
