Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Catering Tutor/Trainer to deliver classroom-based training at our Derbyshire centre. Trainee or qualified candidates are considered.

You will teach up to Level 2 Catering, assess learners, embed Maths and English, and support progression while developing engaging sessions. A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are advantageous for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Must hold your own Level 2 Catering qualification.
• Ideally have experience of delivering training/workshops to groups of learners.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET - fully funded and supported by employer
• Must hold solid occupational competency within Catering/Hospitality.
• Must be IT literate.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards Catering qualifications up to Level 2 within a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
