Job summary

Peterborough College is seeking a Technician/Trainer - Catering to join our Hospitality team. The role involves supporting practical catering sessions, maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe learning environment.

The successful candidate will have hospitality industry experience, strong organisational skills and the ability to work with learners. This permanent post offers a salary of £25,407 per annum (pro rata for part time hours) and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality industry and supporting practical learning.
• Ability to supervise and assist learners in practical sessions.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Support lecturers in delivery of practical hospitality and catering sessions.
• Assist and supervise learners during practical activities, helping them develop industry-relevant skills.
• Maintain catering equipment, tools and resources, carrying out minor repairs where appropriate.
• Ensure workshops and training areas are safe, clean, organised and fully equipped for learning.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate records of equipment and materials.
• Promote health and safety standards, including COSHH and risk assessment processes.
• Collaborate with staff to provide an outstanding learning experience and support learner success.
