Job summary

You will support chefs with basic food preparation, manage waste safely, and help transport provisions as needed, while ensuring safety checks are completed and hazards reported.

Qualifications

• Confidence using cleaning materials, equipment guidelines and safety processes.
• Positive, supportive attitude with chefs, porters and catering colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Clean heavy and small catering equipment to the required standard using the correct materials and instructions.
• Operate industrial dishwashers across multiple catering areas to keep service running smoothly.
• Dispose of kitchen waste safely and correctly, maintaining clean, organised workspaces.
• Maintain excellent hygiene, complete 3 checks for safety and submit Near Miss cards.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation while being mindful of dietary requirements.
• Transport provisions and equipment between catering areas to assist the wider team.
