Job summary

Canford School is seeking a General Assistant to join a team ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintenance across all catering areas. You will assist with the service of food and the smooth running of dining operations on site.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking, basic food prep as directed, and coaching new staff. A full driving licence is preferred and flexibility to work varied shifts is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all catering areas under supervision.
• Assist with the service of food and beverages.
• Clear tables and servery areas.
• Wash kitchen utensils and crockery.
• Assist in basic food preparation as directed.
• Complete cleaning rotas and checklists.
• Replenish stock to keep service fluid.
• Report malfunctioning machinery to a senior member.
• Report spillages and assist with their cleaning.
• Safekeep cleaning chemicals and PPE.
• Attend training courses as delivered by management.
• Coaching of new staff.
• Be flexible and may work outside described hours on site.
