Job summary

Hamilton Mayday Ltd is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to lead a busy catering operation on a temp-to-perm basis. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach to ensure top service standards.

You will oversee daily service, maintain food safety and allergen procedures, manage stock and cash handling, and support events. Monday to Friday with potential for a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering/hospitality supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the catering team during daily service.
• Conduct team briefings and communicate menu and service information.
• Ensure opening, service and closing procedures are completed to a high standard.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve routine customer queries.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures.
• Monitor cash handling, till operations and end-of-day reconciliations.
• Oversee stock control, deliveries, storage and stock rotation.
• Support hospitality events, meetings and special functions.
• Deputise for the Food & Beverage Manager when required.
