Job summary

ISS UK Limited is seeking a Catering Supervisor to lead daily catering operations, supervise a team, and ensure high standards of food safety and customer service. This on-site role supports the Catering Manager and requires effective staffing, budgeting, and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities include overseeing service delivery, training staff, maintaining hygiene standards, and identifying opportunities to improve service quality and revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, catering or hospitality operations and supervision.
• Ability to lead an operation confidently, work independently and support colleagues effectively.
• Enthusiastic, positive and customer-focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, food safety and Health & Safety principles.
• Well presented, approachable and able to build positive working relationships.
• Strong organisational skills with a proactive, can-do attitude and maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Catering Manager in overseeing the restaurant and catering operation, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and within agreed budgets.
• Lead, motivate and support the catering team, providing clear direction, effective training and development to maintain high standards of service.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and Health & Safety standards are maintained in line with company policies and statutory regulations.
• Plan, allocate and monitor workloads to ensure smooth and effective delivery of catering services.
• Build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and clients, adapting the catering offer to meet customer needs and enhance the overall experience.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities to improve services, maximise revenue and grow the operation, providing accurate reports and updates as required.
