Job summary

Leeds Conservatoire is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to join the catering team. You will support the Catering Manager, supervise staff, ensure high standards of service, food safety, and stock control, and handle EPOS and cash handling. The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends at Leeds Conservatoire campus.

The position is based in Leeds, with salary starting at £26,195 and progressing to £26,855 pro rata per annum, on a permanent part-time contract.

Qualifications

> Food Hygiene Certificate and understanding of food safety standards.
> Experience in catering and hospitality.
> Able to organise and support colleagues, communicate clearly and work well as part of a team.
> Friendly and professional approach to customer service.
> Experience using tills and handling payments.

Responsibilities

> Deliver excellent customer service across retail catering, hospitality and licensed bar operations.
> Assist the Catering Manager in delivering smooth day-to-day catering services and events.
> Supervise, guide and support catering staff, allocate duties, monitor performance and contribute to induction/training.
> Maintain standards: food safety, allergen compliance, hygiene, stock control, EPOS, cash handling and record keeping.
> Support hospitality events and service improvement while upholding Group policies and building relationships with stakeholders.
