Job summary

Gordonstoun School is seeking a Storekeeper / Catering Stores Assistant to manage catering stores, keep stock accurate and support the Head Chef and Catering Team.

You will work with chefs, suppliers and colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across events and school functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control and stores management is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Good communication and customer service skills are important.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT and administrative skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all catering stores, ensuring stock is organised, stored and rotated.
• Conduct regular stock checks and inventory counts to maintain records.
• Order food, beverages and consumables with Head Chef and Catering Management Team.
• Monitor deliveries, check goods received and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
• Manage catering-related emails and respond promptly and professionally.
