Job summary

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management LLP is recruiting enthusiastic Catering Operatives for Bridlington Hospital's Catering Department to work across the Main Kitchen and Dining Room.

You will adapt to variable hours, work as part of a friendly team, handle food preparation, service, and cleanliness, and be able to manage duties under HACCP guidelines. Full training provided with enhanced weekend rates and staff benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Catering experience preferred.
• Able to work variable hours.
• Customer-focused with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Make sure food trolleys are ready for ward areas.
• Serve in Dining Room and deliver food to functions and events.
• Use ovens to regenerate food and ensure food is served safely.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and monitor food temperatures as part of HACCP.
• Washing up and other general cleaning duties.
• Able to work under pressure and manage workload effectively.

Bridlington Hospital Catering Department requires enthusiastic Catering Operatives to work in all areas of the Department, Main Kitchen and Dinning Room. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to be adaptable and flexible, in order to work variable hours. You must be able to use initiative, be self‑motivated and have strong interpersonal and organisational/time management skills. Applicants must be able to work under pressure, prioritise their own workload and be able to carry out physical tasks., The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised. Full training will also be provided. Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend.
