Job summary

Astrea Academy Sheffield is seeking a Catering Manager to lead a team of cooks and catering assistants, delivering high-quality, nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment.

You will plan menus with the central catering team, manage orders and budgets, uphold HACCP standards, and organise rotas while ensuring excellent hygiene and customer satisfaction. You’ll support staff development and progress within the growing trust.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional kitchens and preparing fresh food.
• Proven leadership in catering environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, safety and HACCP principles.
• A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to excellence.
• A professional catering qualification and Food Hygiene certification (desirable).
