Job summary

Esteem South Academy, part of Esteem Multi-Academy Trust, is seeking an experienced Catering and Learning Support Assistant to ensure food and drink provision and support cooking lessons across KS up to KS4. The role suits someone resilient and proactive in a fast-paced environment.

The post is 37 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks). Daily travel by car is required for collecting lunches and other duties. DBS check and safeguarding responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with disaffected pupils in a school or alternative setting.
• Ability to build positive relationships and maintain high expectations.
• Willingness to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food and drink provision throughout the day.
• Support cooking lessons and pupil learning across the school.
• Collect lunches from venues and transport pupils if required.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards and follow risk assessments.
