Long Term Futures is seeking a Catering Assistant with Teaching Assistant responsibilities to support day-to-day catering and pupil learning. You will help with breakfast, snacks, and lunch, plus classroom assistance during practical food technology sessions, contributing to pupil engagement and employability-focused learning.
You will need a car to fetch food from a local school and bring it to the school.
Full-Time Role | 37 hours per week | 8:10am-3:50pm | Mon-Fri
Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and business insurance.
As a Catering Assistant with Teaching Assistant responsibilities, you will play an important role in both the day-to-day catering provision and supporting pupils across the school. You will assist with the preparation and distribution of breakfast, break-time snacks and lunch, with minimal food preparation required as meals are delivered from another site, while ensuring the catering area remains clean, safe and well organised. Alongside this, you will support pupils within the classroom, particularly during practical food technology and catering sessions, helping with cooking activities, food preparation skills, engagement, behaviour and employability-focused learning. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support pupils' wider development and daily routines.
Trial days and interviews are being arranged immediately.
