Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring casual Food Service Assistants to support King’s School Rochester. You will assist with food preparation and serving, maintain cleanliness and safety, and help deliver excellent customer service in a busy school catering operation.

The roles offer varied shifts with a focus on hygiene, safety and high standards. DBS checks and pre-employment screening may be required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, hospitality or customer service.
Positive, proactive, hands-on approach to work.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent customer service with friendly, professional manner.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Commitment to high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety.

Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day running of catering services at the location.
Organise daily tasks, ensuring high standards of service, presentation and cleanliness.
Prepare and serve food while following food safety regulations.
Assist with hospitality events, including set-up, service and clear-down.
Ensure food service areas are safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.
Monitor health and safety, food safety and temperature records.
Support colleagues across catering areas to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Promote a positive and professional environment by leading by example.
