Job summary

Burnley College is recruiting a Catering Assistant to provide friendly and efficient service across the College's catering facilities, including the new outlets, barista coffee house and refectory.

A good general education with numeracy and literacy is expected; ideally a Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to train. Experience in catering and with electronic tills is advantageous, with DBS checks as applicable.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant, to provide a friendly and efficient service to all of the users of the catering facilities across the College.

You will work across the College's new food outlets, barista style coffee house and refectory.

Successful applicants will have a good general education, including numeracy and literacy skills and will ideally already have a Food Hygiene certificate, or be willing to work towards achieving this.

Applicants should have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team and display excellent customer service skills. They should also have experience of working within a catering establishment and experience of using electronic tills would be advantageous.

The salary for this post is up to £25,375 pro rata.
