Job summary

Yeo Valley Production Ltd is seeking a reliable catering assistant/kitchen porter to support Acorn House canteen and other sites. You will help with food production, preparation and front/back of house tasks in line with Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures.

The role runs a 7:30–15:30 shift, 40 hours weekly, with two weekends out of four. The company values quality service and teamwork, offering a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service is essential.
• Driving licence required.
• Food safety level 2 certification is required.
• Allergy awareness qualification and HACCP training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve staff with hot and cold food following department procedures.
• Assist with hot and cold food preparation and daily kitchen tasks.
• Maintain high standards for displays, counters and seating areas.
• Provide front and back of house support including food prep, vending and restocking.
• Follow cash handling and till procedures as directed.

So, what will I be doing?

If you’re looking for a stable, secure job within catering then look no further.

You’ll be responsible for supporting with the catering and hospitality at our Acorn House canteen (and other Yeo Valley sites as requested). You’ll help with food production, preparation and other front and back of house services as required, in line with our Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures.

Working 40hoursper week on a 7:30-15:30 shift pattern, with a requirement to work two weekends out of four.

• Serving Yeo Valley staff with hot and cold food as required and in line with department procedures
• Take responsibility for the preparation of hot and cold food using fresh ingredients and assist the chef with daily tasks within the kitchen
• Ensuring all displays, counters and seating areas are presented to the highest standards
• Front and back of house services as required food prep, kitchen porter duties, vending and snack replenishment
• Completing daily and weekly tasks as directed and in accordance with Weekly and Daily procedures
• Observing and complying with all procedures relating to cash handling and security /Till operating/cash handling
