Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a Catering Server to deliver and serve food and beverages at scheduled functions at Humber College. You will assemble and deliver food and supplies, log temperatures, prep tables, and set up buffet displays in line with standards.

You will provide friendly, courteous service, maintain knowledge of the menu, ensure a clean, safe work environment, and assist with inventory and closeout tasks after events.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Responsible Beverage Service Certificate for the applying province.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar environment.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and serve food and beverages at scheduled functions.
• Assemble and deliver all food and supplies to catered locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Assist with food and table prep before events begins.
• Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items.
• Serve plated dinners and respond to beverage/appetizer requests.
• Maintain display equipment and keep areas clean during service.
• Assist with inventory, storage, and closeout tasks after events.
• May drive a catering delivery truck.
