Job summary

Meridian Business Support Limited is hiring a Catering Engineer to install, service and maintain commercial and domestic catering equipment across the Oxford region. You will work autonomously on regional contracts, with a company van, fuel card and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Relevant M&E qualifications such as NVQ, CSCS or JIB card, City & Guilds, F-Gas/ACS Gas etc.
• COMCAT or ACS Gas and Appliance qualifications.
• Experience working on catering equipment (e.govens, refrigeration units, dishwashers, AC systems).
• Experience using FM/building services apps such as CAFM systems (Ostara).
• Ability to work independently to high standards and time restraints.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings and electrical diagrams for diagnostics.
• Full UK Driving Licence and strong timekeeping/customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on catering equipment (ovens, refrigeration, dishwashers, AC).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
• Read schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Lead maintenance tasks coordinating with team members and contractors.
• Oversee upkeep of air conditioning units and climate control systems.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance history for compliance.
• Respond swiftly to emergency breakdowns or safety concerns.

Catering Engineer
Meridian are working with a well-established and growing M&E contractor originallyfrom the North-west, who have an established team of M&E engineers in the Oxford and surroundingregion which is now once again growing. This role will involve installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial and domestic catering equipment in the region. If you are looking for an autonomous role with regionalised work whilst joining a growing company, then this role is perfect for you!

• Starting salary c.£48k - £50k p.a (Dependant on experience)

Requirements for this role:
