Job summary

UK Mission Enterprise is seeking an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to install, maintain and repair high-end kitchen equipment across client properties in a luxury estate environment. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support on-site teams while ensuring safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate holds Gas Safe certification, COMCAT qualifications, and an NVQ Level 3 in engineering, with strong knowledge of natural gas and LPG systems, plus a full

Qualifications

• Gas Safe certified (CCCN1 Core Commercial Catering Gas Safety).
• COMCAT qualifications (1-5 preferred).
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of commercial catering equipment.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across a variety of kitchen equipment.
• Work on ovens, fryers, grills, hot cupboards, woks, and Rational ovens.
• Source and order parts and materials as required.
• Complete certification and job reports accurately (manual or electronic).
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring work is completed to required standards.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
• Participate in shift patterns as required during client occupation.

The Role

As a Commercial Catering Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will deliver both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and the highest operational standards.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a professional with:

• Gas Safe certified (CCCN1 Core Commercial Catering Gas Safety)
• COMCAT qualifications (1-5 preferred)
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
• Strong experience working with commercial catering equipment
• Knowledge of Natural Gas & LPG systems
• Good understanding of health & safety, COSHH, and building regulations
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
