Job summary

Essentia Solutions Group is seeking a commercial catering engineer to cover sites in Manchester and surrounding areas. You will service, maintain and repair catering equipment including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, and refrigeration units where qualified, with travel to London for training when required.

You will diagnose faults using schematics and manufacturer manuals, install new appliances, and keep detailed service records.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing commercial catering equipment.
• Familiarity with ovens, dishwashers, and refrigeration equipment is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel within Manchester and the North West; occasional London training.

Job description

Essentia Solutions recruiting on behalf of an award winning commercial catering maintenance business based in London. Due to recent expansion to the North of the UK, they are looking to recruit a commercial catering engineer to look after sites in Manchester and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on commercial catering equipment such as combi ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, bakery equipment and refrigeration units if qualified.
• Diagnose faults accurately using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues swiftly.
• Repair and replace faulty components, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Install new catering appliances and upgrade existing systems in line with project specifications and client requirements.
• Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job for reporting purposes.
• be able to work and operate efficiently on your own and be flexible to travel to London for manufacturer training when required.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience servicing and maintaining catering equipment from on a wide manufacturers including dishwasher and combi ovens
• Although not essential experience servicing and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment including having FGAS would be advantageous
• Although the work in based around Manchester and Northwest, candidates must be flexible and be available to travel to London for training and company events when required.
