Job summary

Leicestershire County Council’s Learning for Independence GoLearn! team is seeking a Fractional Tutor to deliver catering/cooking and customer service modules to adults with learning difficulties.

The role covers up to 8 hours per week of face-to-face teaching with preparation time, in Leicestershire locations such as Loughborough and Whitwick, during term time. You will adapt teaching styles to meet diverse needs, work with a Learning Support Assistant, and follow RARPA principles with

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 or above nationally recognised teaching qualification (if you do not yet hold a Level 5 teaching qualification, you must provide evidence that you will gain this within the first two years of employment)
• Hold Level 2 or above qualifications in both English and maths
• Demonstrate competence in the use of digital skills, including emails, web-based applications, word processing and digital teaching resources
• Have experience in delivering adult learning
• Have experience of working with learners who have moderate/severe learning disabilities
• Be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Understand the principles of adult safeguarding
